The small impish lady who takes orders is a delight! I'd come here just to take in her positivity and good karma. The food is freshly prepared and for a diner is quite good. The food was served hot and fresh. Our party had two orders of lamb kofta (2 sides each) and I had the Persian chicken kebab which was a bit salty tbh but overall had a nice flavor and adequate spice. 9/10 as it could have had more of all (veggies, and baba ghanoush for the $17 price). The dining area is utilitarian with the din of traffic from the adjacent corner (W40th/9th Ave) as a constant. Meh, it's NYC you'll hear horns and traffic everywhere at all hours. I give a 1 star deduction for plastic cutlery, as opposed to bamboo or some compostable variety. TIP: definitely get the baba ghanoush it is a standout due to its wonderful smoky flavor

Out-of-towner on a business trip... The have every kind of kabob. Everything is are made fresh ... food tastes amazing! The owners take a lot of pride in their cooking. Their platters come with 2 sides. I ordered the chicken kabob with humus and falafel. The chicken was well seasoned and cooked perfectly (meaning it was not dry). Great tasting food! I would definitely recommend and would come back again.

The chicken shish kebab combo provided delightful smokiness on the meat itself, with a spicy option adding an excellent green sauce. I also liked the accompanying salad and cabbage. The offerings will include a few fresh items, perhaps not everything listed on the menu, though I went at an off-peak hour.

Lasani cured a whole day's worth of exhaustion from work. Open into the wee hours, Lasani provides no-fuss Pakistani bowls and platters. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and food is made on the spot. It does take a while for the food to be prepared, but it is so worth it because the flavors of their chicken tikka were phenomenal. Although I had Indian food before, I never tried Pakistani food and it did not disappoint. Based on what I ordered, it's more smokey and uses less spices than Indian food, yet it packs just as much flavor. I'm excited to try more Pakistani cuisine in the future! Lasani already set a high bar -- can't wait to see what else is in store.

This place is amazing. I missed the bus and was looking for a late night spot to wait at until I caught the next one. This place is not only open late, it has the best food I tried the whole day I was in NYC. I could tell the person in charge of the food really, really cared about the meals being prepared. Ended up with a chicken tikka which had incredible spice levels. The cucumber salad was fresh and light as well. The hummus was perfectly made as well. This will definitely be the first place I hit up when I come back to the big apple.

My company recently moved to Hudson Yards so I've been slowly learning about the places to get food in the area that won't cost you an arm and a leg. While heading to Port Authority Bus Terminal, I came across Lasani and thought I'd give it a try. This restaurant is larger than your typical take out spot in the area with several tables for seating. When you come in you see a counter with food on display behind glass. Towards the back of the restaurant there is a fun blackboard with suggested tourist sites to visit that I found amusing. At first I saw an older gent behind the counter and he kind of gave me a half hearted greeting, but then another lady showed up and welcomed me, offering a menu. I confess I kind of assembled a meal with her help consisting of chicken kebab, cooked vegetables and some salad. I also ordered a side of hummus with pita bread. The food was prepared fairly quickly (less than 15 minutes) and I was on my way. Keep in mind I would not eat the food until about two hours later after I got home and it had to be reheated. That said, I really enjoyed it! The kebabs were perfectly cooked and tasty. They were covered in a delightful sauce that was savory and tangy. The vegetable medley included radish and onions and it was very tasty. The hummus was a bit more "chunky" than I prefer but it had good flavor. I confess I was not a huge fan of the pita bread which was cracker thin. I prefer the type that is kind of soft and fluffy but it wasn't bad, that's just my personal preference. I enjoyed my food from Lasani and it is now on my short list of places to get food from on my way home!

Was walking over to Hell's Kitchen Deli, and happened to walk in here first. The aroma smelled so good, and being that I have a small tummy, I ordered from the appetizers. Deeelicious!!! This will be the reason why I will miss New York! And when I return, this will be the first place to stop by!!! The best part about this day was how wonderful the service was. It looks family owned, btw. I truly adored how attentive they were.
